A Preacher’s Perspective…….

So much chaos……

*How many wars are happening or about to happen?
*Major Earthquakes and Tsunamis
*So much death and destruction
*Nuclear power plant melt-downs with radioactive fallout contaminating land, water, and food supplies *So many hungry and homeless people worldwide
*Global Economic Crisis
*So many expressions and senseless acts of hatred
*Major deception and mistrust of government
*Continual decline of the Church here in North America
*The rise of Islam in many Western Countries
*The threat of the destruction of Israel surrounded by her enemies
*Lack of love for God and love and compassion for others
*Widespread unrest, anxiety, fear and hopelessness

Q Is There Any Hope?

A Yes!! And it’s spelled J E S U S !

Let’s take a brief look at the words and warnings of Jesus in Matthew 24&25

BE AWARE (Matthew 24:4) “Take heed that no man deceive you.” (5) “….many shall come in My Name…and shall deceive many.” (11)” Many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many.” St. Paul said, “…in the last days perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1) “….evil men and seducers shall wax worse deceiving and being deceived (v: 13)

DON’T DESPAIR (Matthew 24:6) “…..be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass…. “Let not your heart your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, ye may be also” (John 14:1-3)

PREPARE (Matthew 24:42) “Watch…” “(44)” …be ready….” “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28)

BE THERE (Matthew 25:31-34) “….blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you….”

Not There (Matthew 25:33) “goats on the left” (41) “….unto them on the left hand, Depart from me ye cursed into everlasting fire….” (46) “….into everlasting punishment….”

The last words of Jesus recorded in the Bible is a promise. (Revelation 22:7) “Behold I come quickly…” (12)….”Behold I come quickly…” (20) “….Surely I come quickly.”

Note: He didn’t say WHEN He was coming, but He said when I come, “I COME QUICKLY.”
